The Texas felt fine for my work sets though I only worked up to 88% of 1RM. However for the newbie there are nuances to be aware of, primarily the 'whippyness' of the bar.
For me I am not pushing super heavy numbers so the 'whippyness' that comes from a narrower diameter more flexible bar is not as pronounced. However I was fortunate that Dazza was watching one of my top sets and coached me to ensure I was getting maximum tension on the bar prior to the first pull.
Can't wait to get some decent weight on the Texas and see how it feels.
Next session is squatting and my first time in the hole in the soft suit!
